WILKES VOLLEYBALL DROPS FREEDOM ROAD TEST AT DESALES, 3-0
 
CENTER VALLEY, PA – Host DeSales University scored a straight set 3-0 win over Wilkes University Tuesday night in Freedom Conference volleyball play. The Bulldogs posted the win by scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-20.
 
With the loss Wilkes slips to 6-11 overall and 2-2 in conference play. DeSales improves to 10-12 overall and a perfect 4-0 in league matches.
 
Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) led the way offensively with a team-high 11 kills, while Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) followed with 10 kills and one solo block. Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) posted a team-best nine digs, while setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) led the passing game with 21 assists.
 
DeSales saw four players record six kills or better led by Emilie Baker's 11 kills and nine digs.
 
Wilkes returns to the court Saturday when the Lady Colonels travel to Reading, Pa. for a tri-match at Alvernia University. Wilkes faces host Alvernia at 10:00 a.m. before a matchup against Arcadia University at 2:00 p.m.
