WILKES VOLLEYBALL SCORES 3-1 WIN AT FDU CLINCHING 3rd SEED IN FREEDOM TOURNAMENT IN THE PROCESS

MADISON, NJ – Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) and Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) combined for 32 kills and eight solo blocks leading visiting Wilkes University to a 3-1 win at FDU-Florham Wednesday night in both teams' Freedom Conference finale.

With the win, Wilkes moves to 4-3 in league play and clinches the third playoff spot in next week's Freedom Conference Tournament. Wilkes will travel to second seeded DeSales University. Wilkes collected the conference victory taking the first two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-18. After FDU answered with a 25-23 win in the third set, Wilkes secured the playoff berth with a 25-23 decision in the fourth set.

Setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) finished with a match-high 36 assists. Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) led the Wilkes backline with 37 digs.

Wilkes travels to #2 DeSales University Wednesday for a semifinal match at 7:00 p.m. in Billera Hall.
