With the win, the Lady Colonels improve to 5-7 overall while the Crusaders fall to 3-10. Wilkes got on the board early when Hahn took the ball and got the rebound off her own shot to score. The Crusaders evened the score when Ally Bradley scored on an assist from Brodie Ercole at the 15:11 mark. In the second half, the Lady Colonels had plenty of opportunities provided by 18 total corners on the day. When an Ashley Ream (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) shot was deflected, Hahn was in perfect position to send the ball home. Up 2-1, the Lady Colonels defense did all it had to in order to keep Susquehanna off the board in the second half. Alexis Reed (Greenport, NY/Greenport) had three saves in net for the Lady Colonels while Margaret Ruth collected 16 saves for the Crusaders. Wilkes returns to Freedom Conference play Saturday with a road contest at Delaware Valley College at 1:00 p.m. Print Friendly Version
