• Wilkes enters this weekend's tri-match with a 2-3 overall mark after finishing in fourth place at the Messiah Petrofes last Saturday. Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg), one of eight top seven finishers for Wilkes, claimed the 125-pound crown, his second individual championship this season.
 
• The Colonels have 19 wrestlers who have notched at least five wins already this season in just eight events as well as 19 wrestlers with .500 or better marks.
 
• Junior Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) (10-2) is ranked 9th at 133-pounds according to the latest NWCA Individual rankings, while Kris Krawchuk (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh) (8-2) is ranked 8th at 149-pounds, and Rea (11-2) is tabbed 10th at 125-pounds.
 
• The Colonels captured second place in the Monarch Invitational in the season opener as two wrestlers earned individual championships (125- Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and 133- Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill)).
 
• Wilkes went 1-3 at the John Reese Duals earlier this year earning a 28-6 win over then No. 18 Johns Hopkins.
 
• Krawchuk was recently named d3wrestle.com/WWSport.com “Wrestler of the Week” after going 3-0 at the John Reese Duals with all three victories coming against ranked opponents. He opened the day with a pin over tenth ranked Craig Montgomery of Centenary and followed with a pair of decision wins over Troy Sterling 4-2 (#5 at 157) and fifth ranked Henry Stauber of Johns Hopkins 8-3.
 
• Host Wesleyan University enters the tri-match ranked 29th competing in their dual match opener while Rhode Island College is currently unranked standing 1-0 in dual meets posting a 36-10 win over Plymouth State.
