WILKES VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN STRAIGHT SETS AT BBC, 3-0

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA – Host Baptist Bible College posted a straight set 3-0 win over Wilkes University Monday night in non-conference volleyball action.

Wilkes falls to 3-7 overall following the defeat. BBC improves to 6-3 on the year.

BBC took the match by scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-20. Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) led the Lady Colonels attack with seven kills and one block. Courtney Kania (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) followed with six kills and six digs, Alisha Rupp (Shamokin, PA/Shamokin) added five kills.

Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) finished with a team-high 19 digs and setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) posted 17 assists and 10 digs.

Emily Gordon totaled a match-high nine kills to lead BBC, while Jessica White and Jaycee Shirk combined for 14 kills.

Wilkes travels to Misericordia University Wednesday for its Freedom opener at 7:00 p.m.
