With the loss, Wilkes falls even to 3-3 while Juniata improves to 4-3 overall. Juniata scored once in the first half before adding four tallies in the second to take control of the game. For Wilkes, Ashley Ream (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) scored just two minutes into the second half on an assist from Kaitlyn Bevans (Beaver Meadows, PA/Hazleton) to tie the score at one. Juniata then scored four straight times to take command of the game. For Juniata, Steph Pagliaro and Caroline Phillips added two scores apiece. Wilkes returns to the pitch Saturday when they host Eastern University in a Freedom Conference matchup at 1:00 p.m. The game will feature a special tribute to former Lady Colonels field hockey coach Gay Meyers prior to the start.
