With the loss, Wilkes falls to 3-5 while Alvernia improves to 4-5. Alvernia went up 1-0 in the first half as the Lady Colonels were held scoreless on seven shot attempts. Crusader Miranda Peto scored her second goal of the game in the 58th minute of play. Wilkes rebounded and found their only spark of the game in the 61st minute when Kaitlyn Bevans (Beaver Meadows, PA/Hazleton) scored her third goal of the year on an assist from Lexi Thompson (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South) and Ashley Ream (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central). The Lady Colonels led in penalty corners 19-7 and in shots 17-11. Alexis Reed (Greenport, NY/Greenport) had eight saves in goal for Wilkes while Erin Wunsch had ten saves in net for the Crusaders.
