With the losses the Lady Colonels fall to 2-4 overall on the year. Wilkes fell in its first match of the afternoon 3-2 against Pitt-Bradford. Host Scranton then scored a straight-set 3-0 victory over Wilkes in its second match. Wilkes fell by scores of 24-26, 26-24, 18-25, 26-24, and 12-15 against Pitt-Bradford. Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) led the way with 15 kills. Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) followed with 11 kills and four solo blocks. Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) paced the backline with 17 digs, while setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) finished with a match-high 39 assists. Scranton took match two by scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-17. Bohan topped the squad with five kills and two solo blocks, while Nothstein added 17 digs defensively. Wilkes will conclude play at the invitational tomorrow with matches against Keystone College at 3:00 p.m. and Marywood University at 5:00 p.m. Wilkes and Marywood faced each other in the Lady Colonels home opener on Wednesday as the Pacers held on for a 3-1 win.
