Wilkes moves to 6-4 overall on the year while Marywood drops to 2-8 on the season. After the teams went to the half tied at 25, Wilkes broke open the contest in the second frame outscoring the Pacers 41-23 over the final 20 minutes of play. Shovlin got things started with a driving layup followed by a deep corner three-pointer from Tyler Breznitsky (Freeland, PA/MMI Prep) to give Wilkes a 38-34 advantage with 12:53 on the second half clock. A trey from Shovlin and Breznitsky to Pat Furst (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks West) score put Wilkes up 47-37 just three minutes later. The lead would grow to 15 when Furst scored inside again this time off a Shovlin feed. From there Shovlin canned two more long range threes and a layup in transition to push the cushion to 17 points as Wilkes led 60-43 with 4:35 left. After a slow start, Shovlin finished shooting 10-for-19 including a 5-for 11 performance from behind the arc adding four assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes. Breznitsky was solid adding 13 points and four helpers. Brendan Sheldon (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) led the Colonel frontcourt with nine rebounds.
