With the win Wilkes improves to 4-11, 2-3 in Freedom Conference play, while King's falls to 7-7, 1-4 in league play. Ashley Hahn (Bangor, PA/Bangor) opened up the Lady Colonels scoring when she was able to poke in a feed from Devon Kriebel (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) 6:05 into the game. King's fought back right away and evened the score at 1-1 when Alyssa Monaghan scored off a hard shot from the right side at the 7:42 minute mark. After the game was tied Wilkes went on to score three goals in a 6:05 time span. Devon Kriebel (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) put the Lady Colonels up 2-1, in the 24th minute when she took a feed from Danielle Distefano (Rochester, NY/Hilton) and hit a long range shot from the top of the circle. Just over two minutes later Taylor Ryan (Spotsylvania, VA/Courtland) scored a shot off a rebound increasing the lead to 3-1. Kerryn Redcay (Reading, PA/Wilson) ended the Lady Colonels scoring when she redirected an Emily Saliba (Scotrun, PA/Pocono Mountain East) pass into the cage, giving Wilkes the 4-1 lead. Neither team was able to score in the second half. For the game Wilkes outshot King's 14-10 while King's held a 15-13 advantage in penalty corners. The Lady Colonels with the win keep themselves afloat in the Freedom Conference playoff hunt. They host second place DeSales University on Saturday evening at Schmidt Stadium.
