DeSales took the match by scores of 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, and 25-15. Wilkes drops to 18-13 overall following the loss, while DeSales improves to 19-14 after the win. The Bulldogs advance to the Freedom Conference Championship match on Saturday to face top seeded Eastern University who defeated Misericordia University in the other semifinal. Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) led the Wilkes attack with a match-high 17 kills and a .214 hitting percentage. Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) added eight kills and five digs, while setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) led the passing game with 36 assists. Marissa Mallory (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) finished with a team-high 22 digs on the Wilkes backline. DeSales saw three players reach double figures in kills as Arielle Nicholson (14), Emilie Baker (12) and Madeline Svrcek (12) led the Bulldogs attack.
