WILKES VOLLEYBALL DOWNED AT SUSQUEHANNA, 3-0


SELINSGROVE, PA – Host Susquehanna University swept visiting Wilkes University 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action Tuesday night at Houts Gymnasium.

Wilkes slips to 1-5 overall while Susquehanna improves to 5-1 on the year.

The Crusaders stormed out to a 25-18 win in game one before posting a 25-14 victory in game two and 25-17 decision in the clinching third set.

Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) led the way offensively for Wilkes posting a team-high eight kills and two total blocks. Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) followed with five kills, while four other Lady Colonels finished with three kills each.

Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights), back from injury, contributed nine digs while setter rookie Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) finished with 22 assists in the contest.

Wilkes is back in action Saturday competing in a quad match at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. The Lady Colonels open with host Lycoming at 10:00 a.m. before matches with Baptist Bible at 12:30 p.m. and Penn College at 3:00 p.m.
