Wilkes was declared the overall champion of the tournament with the perfect 3-0 record during the two-day event. Wilkes moves to 8-7 overall following the trio of victories this weekend. Wilkes took the match by scores of 25-20, 25-12, and 25-18. Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) led the offense with 14 kills and 11 digs, while Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) followed with 10 kills. Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) added eight kills and one solo block and setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) led the passing game with a match-high 37 assists. Marissa Mallory (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) pitched in with a team-best 13 digs in her defensive role. Paskas, Bohan, and Mallory were all named to the All-Tournament Team for their efforts. Mallory was also named the libero of the tournament totaling 30 digs over the three matches. Wilkes returns home Wednesday hosting defending Freedom Conference champion Eastern University at 7:00 p.m. at the Marts Center. Print Friendly Version
