SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University volleyball team could not hold on to two leads in the final two sets of the match as host Marywood University rallied for a 3-0 straight set win Wednesday night in non-league play.

Wilkes slips to 4-1 overall while Marywood improves to 4-1 on the year. It marked the second match between the two teams in the past four days as Wilkes and Marywood met in the teams' season openers at the Moravian Greyhound Invitational last weekend.

After Marywood opened with a 25-15 win in the first set, the Lady Colonels own leads late in the second and third sets only to see the Pacers rally from behind in both to seal the straight set win. Marywood captured the second set 26-24 and the third 25-23.

Casey Bohan (Harding/Wyoming Area) led the way for Wilkes finishing with seven kills and one solo block. Paige Trusty (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) added nine kills, while Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) covered the passing game with 26 assists and five digs.

Wilkes returns to the court in seven days traveling to Selinsgrove, Pa. to face Susquehanna University at 7:00 p.m.
