Wilkes falls to 5-6 overall following the defeat while Scranton improves to 10-2 on the year after recording the non-league win. Scranton built a 39-33 halftime lead thanks to ten points from Danzig and eight tallies from Brandon Boken. Wilkes would not go away in the first frame as a bucket from Brandon Sheldon tied the game at 12 with 14:52 left. Jimmy Brackett followed with a tip in score and Steve Stravinski (Pittston, PA/Pittston) continued his hot touch from long range connecting on a three to give the Colonels a 17-12 advantage just four minutes later. The teams continued to trade baskets until Scranton used a 6-0 spurt to take the six-point lead to the break. The Royals then used two three-pointers and a score from Danzig inside the lane to up the lead to ten, 47-37 with 15:57 remaining. The Colonels were unable to recover from the early run to start the second half as Scranton built its lead to as many as twenty points late in the game. Stravinski was named to the All-Tournament team after leading Wilkes for the second consecutive game with 17 points on 4-for-5 shooting from long range. Alec Wizar (Lebanon, PA/Annville Cleona) contributed a team-high 18 points on three treys, while Brackett followed with 10 points and four rebounds. Nic Wilkins (Dushore, PA/Sullivan County) added nine points and seven boards in the loss. Boken chipped in 21 points for Scranton and Justin Klingman added 15 tallies on five three-pointers to lead the Royals attack from the perimeter.
