Wilkes suffers its second straight conference loss slipping to 8-7 overall and 1-3 in league games. King's improved to 4-6-2 overall and 1-2 in Freedom contests. Nassaney's goal came on a free kick from 32-yards out finding the back of the net past Wilkes keeper Lisa Semetti (Limerick, PA/Spring-Ford). Wilkes had ample scoring chances throughout but was unable to muster an equalizer in the contest. Semetti finished with one save for Wilkes while Jessica Natale made one stop for King's to record the shutout. Wilkes held a slim 7-4 shot advantage while also garnering all six corner kick attempts in the contest. Wilkes returns home Tuesday hosting defending Freedom champion Misericordia University at 3:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.Print Friendly Version
