Wilkes (9-8, 5-2), travels to No. 1 FDU-Florham (12-7, 6-1) tomorrow evening for a 7:00 p.m. semifinal showdown against the Devils. Wilkes dropped a 6-5 loss in overtime to FDU-Florham back in early October after holding a 5-2 lead late in the second half.Fans can follow the action through live stats and live video at the following links:Live StatsLive Video As a team Wilkes has scored 39 goals this season, with 24 of those goals being scored in the second half of games. Ten different players have scored goals this season for the Navy and Gold. Freshman Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) leads the squad with 40 points. Surdy has 13 goals and 14 assists while taking 103 shots. Senior Aliya Frankel (Ventnor, NJ/Holy Spirit) is second on the team with 23 points (8 G, 7 A). Frankel leads the team with three game-winning goals in 2014. Maura Anistranski (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) and Maura Brownsey (Glenside, PA/Saint Basil Academy) are tied for the third on the team with 11 points each. On defense the Lady Colonels have conceded 46 goals in 2014 with 27 of those goals being scored in the final thirty-five minutes of play. Junior Alexis Reed (Greenport, NY/Greenport) is starting to find her form in goal after sitting out the beginning of the season with an injury. Reed started the last eight games going 6-2 in those matches. She has allowed 18 goals (2.24 GPG), made 48 saves and has a .727 save percentage. FDU-Florham clinched the No. 1 seed after going 6-1 in the regular season with their only blemish in conference play to Misericordia. The Devils have scored 43 (2.26 goals per-game) goals this season from 11 different players. Kim Davis is the leading point-scorer for the Devils. Davis has 31 points on the season with a team-high 11 goals and nine assists. Niki Ikeda is second on the team with 23 points. Ikeda has scored eight goals and has seven assists while taking a team-leading 57 shots. Jodie Crutchley 14 points (7 G), Gabriella D'Amico 11 points (5 G, 1 A) and Alexa Paparo 10 points (4 G, 2 A) all must be contained on offense. FDU-Florham has allowed their opposition to score 38 goals this season. Amy Defnet has played the majority of games in the cage for the Devils. Defnet is 9-3 on the season with three shutouts. She has allowed 20 goals this season while making 52 saves. The winner of the semifinal match will play Saturday in the Freedom Conference Championship against the winner of No. 2 Misericordia University and No. 3 DeSales University at a time to be announced.Print Friendly Version
