• Wilkes concludes its 2013-14 dual match campaign Thursday night hosting cross-town rival King's College on "Senior Night" at the Marts Center.

• Twenty-one Colonel wrestlers have ten wins or better and 28 wrestlers stand .500 or better through the competition season for Wilkes.

• With its 23-9 win over No. 15 Ithaca last Friday, Wilkes became the eleventh program (Div. I, II or III) to reach the 800-win mark in program history. Head coach Jon Laudenslager has accounted for 171 of the 800 wins in his eleven years at the helm of the Colonel program.

• The Colonels have owned their cross-town rivals posting a win or tie in the last nine meetings with King's. Wilkes secured a 36-9 win last season earning its 19th straight victory in the process. Wilkes tied King's 22-22 in the 2010-11 campaign. Wilkes has not lost to the Monarchs since the 2003-04 season (14-25).

• At 133-pounds, senior Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) (23-6) became the sixth Wilkes wrestler to reach the 100-win plateau and the second in three years as Anthony Dattolo eclipsed the mark in 2011-12. Mendoza earned his 100th victory when he pinned his opponent in the second round of the MAC Championships in 4:34. Mendoza settled for fourth at the event.

Mark Hartenstine (Easton, PA/Easton) (33-1) and Kris Krawchuk (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh) (10-5) each claimed individual titles at the MAC Championships at 149-pounds and 157-pounds respectively. As a team, Wilkes finished second in the event behind champion Messiah.

• Wilkes features two wrestlers ranked in the most recent NWCA individual rankings as Mark Hartenstine (Easton, PA/Easton) is tabbed fifth in the country at 149-pounds and Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) is ranked ninth at 125-pounds. Hartenstine edged Ithaca's Eammon Gaffney last Friday, and has not lost a match (his only loss this season) since the Wilkes Open in late December. Rea stands 24-5 on the year finishing second at the MAC Championships three weeks ago.

• Hartenstine (33-1) stands as the seventh most dominant wrestler in the nation in Division III and third in technical falls this season (7 tech falls).
