Wilkes posted a 3-1 victory over the host Penn College before falling 3-1 to Lycoming in its second match. The Lady Colonels concluded the day with a 3-0 sweep over Baptist Bible College. Wilkes took the match against Penn College by scores of 25-17, 25-19, 19-25 and 26-24. In the win against BBC, Wilkes swept by scores of 33-31, 29-27 and 25-21. Lycoming gave Wilkes its only defeat of the day by scores of 25-23, 26-24, 23-25 and 25-19. Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) led the Wilkes attack with a three-game total of 32 kills and four total blocks. Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) followed with 32 kills, eight assists and 29 digs. Marissa Mallory (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) added 26 kills and 33 digs. Libero Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) led the Wilkes backline with 76 digs while Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) paced the passing game finishing with 108 assists during the three-game event. Wilkes makes its home debut Wednesday welcoming Penn State Berks to the marts center for a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m.Print Friendly Version
