WILKES VOLLEYBALL TAKES TWO ON FINAL DAY OF KEYSTONE TOURNAMENT
 
LA PLUME, PA – The Wilkes University volleyball team swept a pair of matches on the final day of the Keystone College Tournament Saturday afternoon.
 
Wilkes posted wins over Rosemont (3-0) and Keystone (3-1) to conclude tournament play. Wilkes moves to 6-6 overall following the two victories.
 
Wilkes cruised to the three set victory over Rosemont by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-14. Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) led the attack for the Lady Colonels with a team-high six kills while Marissa Mallory (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) followed with five kills and four digs. Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) anchored the Wilkes backline with a match-high 19 digs.
 
The Lady Colonels then revenged an earlier loss to host Keystone on day posting a four set win by scores of 23-14, 27-25, 22-25 and 25-19. Danica Benson (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) enjoyed a standout match finishing with a season-high 12 kills while Mallory and Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) added nine kills each. Nothstein posted 19 digs while Mallory added 16 digs in the victory.

Mook, Nothstein and Alexis Morgan (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) were all named to the All-Tournament Team for their performances through the two day event.
 
Wilkes returns to Freedom Conference play Tuesday traveling to Madison, NJ to face FDU-Florham at 7:00 p.m.
