Wilkes falls to 1-2 overall on the year following the loss while Juniata remains unbeaten at 2-0 after the home victory. After Juniata took a 1-0 lead midway through the second frame, Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) tied the game with a goal at the 55:53 mark for Wilkes. With less than four minutes remaining, Juniata scored back-to-back goals, one to take the lead back at 66:33 and one for added insurance at 68:39. Savannah McCauley (York, PA/West York) suffered the loss in net finishing with three saves. Wilkes returns to the field Tuesday when it hosts Arcadia University at 4:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.Print Friendly Version
