Wilkes used a 10-4 to regain the lead at 24-18 thanks to five points from Haley Mesaros (Royersford, PA/Pope John Paul II). Over the next seven minutes of play Moravian used a 22-8 run to give them their largest lead of the game at 40-32. Instead of falling further behind the Lady Colonels rallied over the remaining 2:24 and scored seven straight points capped off by a huge three-pointer by Stambone with :09 seconds remaining in the half. Wilkes trailed 40-39 at the break with both teams shooting above 40% for the half.Wilkes began to take control of the game at the start of the second half as they built a 50-46 advatage with 12:58 remaining on the game clock. Chelsea Smelas (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe) and Stambone combined to score eight of the eleven points during the 11-6 run that saw the Lady Colonels go up 50-46. Wilkes extended their lead to 61-51 when Stambone made a three-pointer with just over seven minutes to go in the game. During the 11-5 run Stambone took over as she scored seven of the Lady Colonels eleven points.Moravian trimmed the ten point disadvantage to four with a quick 6-0 run before Stambone and Smelas made good on jumpers to push the lead to 65-58 with 5:18 to go in the game. The Greyhounds again chipped into the lead thanks to four points from Morgan Calabrese as they trailed 66-64 with 1:36 to play. On the next possession Stambone had ice in her veins as she nailed a jumper from the top of the key to give the ladies a four point lead at 68-64 with just over a minute to go in the game. Moravian was unable to score over the remaining minute of the game as Wilkes went on to win 70-64.Wilkes shot 42.4 percent (25-59) from the field and made 63 percent (17-27) of their foul shots. Stambone led all scorers with 27 and moved into sole possession of 3rd place on the career scoring list passing Rebecca Baker's (1,447) in the process. Stambone now stands at 1,452 career points. Smelas had a great game from the floor making 7-of-10 shots en route to 17 points and eight boards. Ellen rich filled the stat sheet as she pulled down seven boards, scored six points and swatted five shots. Moravian struggled from the floor shooting 28.4 percent (19-67) and 22.7 percent (5-22) from distance. The Greyhounds made 75 percent (21-28) of their foul shots and were led offensively by Alexis Wright's 19 points. Wright had a monster game on the glass as she pulled down 17 total rebounds (nine offensively).
