Women's Volleyball Splits at Rutgers-Camden Tri-Match

CAMDEN, N.J.- The Wilkes University women's volleyball team split its two matches against the College of Staten Island (25-12, 25-13, 25-11) and Rutgers-Camden (14-25, 13-25, 18-25) on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Colonels are now 11-13 on the season.

Wilkes was led in the win against CSI by Kayley Schinski (Plymouth, PA/Nanticoke)'s nine kills. She was followed by Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) and Grace Boyle (Andreas, PA/Marian Catholic), who had six kills each. Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) led the offense with 25 assists.

The Lady Colonels were led from the back line by Danica Benson (Allentown, PA/Emmaus)'s 18 digs. Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) had two blocks in the match.

Wilkes had 37 kills compared to just 10 for the Dolphins.

The Lady Colonels were led in their second match by Paskas and Madison Scarfaro (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), who had seven kills each. Powers again led the way with 13 assists.

The back line was led by Benson's 13 digs, and she was followed by Alexis Morgan (Walnutport, PA/Northampton), who had 11. Schinski and Mook each had two blocks.

Wilkes returns to action on Wednesday when it will host DeSales University in a MAC Freedom match starting at 7 p.m. in the Marts Center, which is also the "Dig Pink" Night for Breast Cancer Awareness.
