WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting DeSales University in a MAC Freedom match Wednesday night in the Marts Center.
 
The visiting Bulldogs took the three set sweep by scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-14. Wilkes falls to 11-4 overall and 1-4 in MAC Freedom play, while DeSales improves to 16-9 overall and 4-1 in league matches.
 
Madison Scarfaro (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) led the Lady Colonels attack with nine kills in 25 attempts. Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) added four kills while Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) finished with three kills and six digs. Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) led the Wilkes passing game with 16 assists.
 
Five different DeSales players posted six kills or more with Taylor Antoniewicz and Gabby Savite each contributing with team-high nine kills. Lisa Wallitsch paced the Bulldog passing game with a match-high 36 kills.
 
Wilkes next travels to Elmira, New York to compete in the Elmira College Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
