EDWARDSVILLE- The Wilkes University field hockey team fell to Widener University by a 2-0 final on Tuesday night at Schmidt Stadium.

The Lady Colonels fell to 7-7 with the loss while the Pride improved to 6-5.

Widener scored its goals in the fifth and 67^th minutes.

Wilkes best opportunity came in the 49^th minute when forward Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) lined a shot off of the post.

Lady Colonels goalkeeper Dallas Kendra (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) made 16 saves in the game.

Wilkess returns to action on Saturday when it will travel to Eastern University for a 12 p.m. MAC Freedom match.
