Men's Soccer Falls to MAC Freedom foe King's
EDWARDSVILLE- Daniel Lorandini recorded a hat trick for King's College as it defeated the Wilkes University men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom play.
The Colonels fell to 4-10-0 overall and 1-3-0 in MAC Freedom play while the Monarchs improved to 12-2-1 and 3-0-1.
Lorandini scored in the third, 19
th, and 53
rd minute as King's built a 3-0 lead.
Wilkes missed an opportunity to cut the lead on a penalty kick in the 51
st minute but could not convert.
Camry Huff (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) scored the Colonels lone goal in the 54
th minute off an assist from
Hunter Murray (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen).
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) made 13 saves in net for Wilkes.
Head coach Phil WIngert was honored prior to the game receiving his 300-win plaque after reaching the milestone in the Colonels victory over Delaware Valley late last week.
The Colonels return to action on Tuesday when they will host Eastern University in a 7 p.m. MAC Freedom contest at Schmidt Stadium.
