LEESPORT, Pa – Morgan Jones (Huntley, MT/Huntley Project) finished with the top overall time to lead the Wilkes University women's cross country team to a second-place finish at the Alvernia Invitational on Saturday morning.

Jones finished the course in 24:46, which is ninth-best 6k time in program history.

Jones was joined in the top-10 by Regan Murphy (Plainfield, PA/Pen Argyl), who finished in 27:43, and Tracey Hilker (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin), who ran a 28:04.

Alexis Nicholson (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) (16^th, 29:03), Michelle Brenneman (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Schuylkill Haven) (21^st, 29:37), Carmen Hillman (Urbana, OH/Graham School) (24^th, 30:11), Kaitlyn Stitch (25^th, 30:19), and Moriah Teed (Newark Valley, NY/Newark Valley) (29^th, 32:54) rounded out the scorers for the Lady Colonels.

Wilkes returns to action on Saturday, October 31^st in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at Misericordia.
