EDWARDSVILLE- Nicolette Towlen (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) scored in the 29^th minute to lead the Wilkes University women's soccer team over Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) foe Eastern University at Schmidt Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Colonels improved to 5-8-2 overall and 2-2-1 in MAC Freedom play while the Eagles fell to 6-9-1 and 2-3-0.

Courtney Krasnomowitz (Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley) found Towlen streaking up the middle of the field and placed a perfect pass, springing Towlen for a breakaway goal put into the lower right corner of the net for the only score of the game.

Wilkes had a 15-13 advantage in shots and a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) made 10 saves in net for her fifth shutout of the season.

The Lady Colonels return to action on Saturday when they travel to DeSales University for a 12 p.m. MAC Freedom match.
