EDWARDSVILLE- Jenna Skrinak (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) scored three goals as the Wilkes University field hockey team built a 5-0 lead en route to a crucial 5-1 victory over Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom foe Delaware Valley University at Schmidt Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Colonels improved to 8-8 overall and 3-2 in MAC Freedom play with the win while the Aggies fell to 6-9 and 2-3.

Skrinak got Wilkes on the board in the second minute when she put in a shot off of an assist from Haley Coleman (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton). Keighlyn Oliver (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) doubled the lead in the fifth minute when Skrinak found her the goal.
In the 26th minute, Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) placed a perfect long pass to Taylor Ryan (Spotsylvania, VA/Courtland), who went around a defender and the goalkeeper for a shot at the open net that she did not miss to make it 3-0 Lady Colonels.

Skrinak added to the lead in the 41st minute when she lined another shot past the goalkeeper with an assist from Lexi Thompson (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South).
