Wilkes Volleyball Goes 0-2 on Final Day of LVC Tournament
 
ANNVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to conclude play at the Lebanon Valley College Tournament Saturday afternoon. The Lady Colonels fell 3-0 to Montclair State before dropping a 3-0 decision to host LVC in its final match of the tournament.
 
Wilkes sees its overall mark move to 12-21 on the season with three matches remaining on the schedule. Wilkes has been eliminated from MAC Freedom postseason contention.
 
Montclair State took the first match against Wilkes by scores of 26-24, 25-14 and 25-22. Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) led the attack with six kills and 16 digs. Kayley Schinski (Plymouth, PA/Nanticoke) followed with five kills. Alexis Morgan (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) paced the passing game with 23 assists.
 
LVC took the second match of the day over the Lady Colonels by scores of 26-24, 25-19, and 25-14. Paskas led the way with ten kills and ten digs. Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) added five kills while Abby Sanders (Allentown, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) and Madison Scarfaro (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) each contributed four kills. Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) finished with 24 assists.
 
Up next Wilkes returns to MAC Freedom play with a match at Manhattanville College on Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m. in Purchase, N.Y.
