Women's Volleyball Falls at King's
WILKES-BARRE- The Wilkes University women's volleyball team fell by a 1-3 (25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 23-25) score at MAC Freedom foe King's College on Tuesday night.
The loss drops the Lady Colonels to 10-12 overall and 1-3 in Freedom play while the Monarchs improved to 14-6 and 2-2 overall.
Wilkes was led by junior outside hitter
Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford), who led the team with 14 kills. Paskas was followed by sophomore middle hitter
Ellen Mook (Meadville, PA/Meadville) (13) and sophomore opposite hitter
Madison Scarfaro (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) (eight). Senior setter
Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) guided the offense with 34 assists.
The Lady Colonels were led defensively by freshman setter
Julia Winkle (South Wales, NY/Iroquois Central), who registered 12 digs, with sophomore outside hitter
Danica Benson (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) adding 12 and Paskas finishing with eight.
Wilkes returns to action Saturday when it will travel to Rutgers-Camden for a tri-match against the College of Staten Island at 2 p.m. and the Scarlett Raptors at 4 p.m.
