Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Powers Past Rutgers-Camden 21-8
 
EDWARDSVILLE – Carley Smith notched her fourth ten point game finishing with three goals and seven assists leading host Wilkes University to a 21-8 win over Rutgers-Camden Saturday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium.
 
Wilkes moves to 6-1 overall following the win while Rutgers-Camden drops to 1-7 on the year after the defeat.
 
After Rutgers-Camden took a 1-0 lead, Wilkes responded with four straight goals including two from Brownsey and one each from Smith and Tori Kerr (Beacon, NY/Beacon).
 
Two more goals from Brownsey and two strikes from Samantha Lawlor (Brookfield, CT/Brookfield) upped Wilkes lead to 11-4 at the break.
 
The Lady Colonels then notched ten more tallies in the second half to cruise to the double-digit victory.
 
Brownsey added six goals while Kerr notched five goals and one assist.  Jessyca Held (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) posted a season-high four goals in the win.
 
Kellie Kalada (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) recorded the win in net playing 53:57 making six saves.
 
Up next Wilkes hosts Cedar Crest College Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.
