Wilkes Men's Golfers in 11^th Place After Day One of Glenmaura Invitational

MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team stands in eleventh place after the opening day of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational Tournament Sunday at Glenmaura National Golf Course.

Wilkes shot a 68-over par 352 on the par-71, 6,308-yard course.

Matt Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) finished tied for 26^th shooting an 80. Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) stands 38^th carding an 83. Corey Hunter (88), John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) (101) and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) (104) rounded out the Colonel scorers.

Marywood held a day-one lead with a 303 while Moravian was second at 307. McDaniel and Scranton are tied for third at 310 while Susquehanna and Swarthmore were locked in fifth at 312.

Final round concludes Monday at the Glenmaura National Golf Course.
