Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes 11^th at Glenmaura Invitational

MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in eleventh place after the final day of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational Tournament Monday at Glenmaura National Golf Course.

Wilkes shot 73-over par 357 on the par-71, 6,308-yard course on day two.

Matt Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) finished tied for 34th shooting an 83 on day two after a first round 80. Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) came in 48th carding an 89 on day two following an 83 in the opening round. Corey Hunter (90), John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) (95) and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) (104) rounded out the Colonel scorers in the final round.

Marywood captured the tournament title with a 302 on day two after firing in a 303 on day one. Host Scranton finished second with a combined 615 (310/305), while McDaniel College rounded out the top three with a 616 (310/306).

Wilkes plays cross-town King's College on Thursday in a dual match at the Wyoming Valley Country Club at 1:00 p.m.
