Wilkes Men's Golfers in Third Place after Day One of Freedom Championships

HERSHEY, PA – Matt Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) finished second amongst all Freedom golfers carding a 79 to lead the Wilkes University men's golf team Saturday afternoon in the Freedom Conference Championships at the Hershey Country Club.

As a team Wilkes totaled a 334 on the Par 71 course. Manhattanville remains in the top spot shooting a 326 while King's placed second with a 332.

Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) finished with an 85, Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) an 85 and Arlindo Isidoro (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) an 85 in round one play for Wilkes. John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) rounded out the Colonel scorers with a 90.

Day two action begins Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
