Connor and Tyler Lead Women's Soccer Past William Paterson

Dianna Connor (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) and sophomore defender
Julia Tyler (Fieldsboro, NJ/Notre Dame) each scored goals to lead the Wilkes University women's soccer team past William Paterson University 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium.
The Lady Colonels improved 2-4-1 with the win while the Pioneers fell to 2-3-1.
Connor opened the scoring for Wilkes in the 45
th minute when freshman midfielder/defender
Mary Catherine Treuting (Warrenton, VA/Highland School) found her wide open in the slot for a shot that Connor was able to put past William Paterson goalkeeper Kat Clint.
Tyler padded the score for the Lady Colonels in the 69
th minute when she headed in a corner kick off the foot of sophomore midfielder
Olivia Schlottmann (Poughkeepsie, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes).
Wilkes held an 18-10 shot advantage, with eight shots hitting their target compared to four for the Pioneers.

Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) made four saves for her second shutout of the season.
Wilkes returns to action Saturday when it hosts Arcadia University for a 2:30 p.m. non-conference contest at Schmidt Stadium.
