Wilkes Women's Cross Country Takes 18^th at Dickinson Invitational

CARLISLE, PA – Morgan Jones (Huntley, MT/Huntley Project) ran the sixth fastest 6k in school history to lead the Wilkes women's cross country team to an 18^th place finish at the Dickinson Short/Long Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Jones came in at 24:41 for 31^st place, bettering her personal mark of 24:53 she set earlier this year at the Misericordia Invitational. Tracey Hilker (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) followed with a season-best time of 26:55, while Regan Murphy (Plainfield, PA/Pen Argyl) clocked in at 27:45 for her best time this year. Alexis Nicholson (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) finished at 29:11, Carmen Hillman (Urbana, OH/Graham School) at 29:20, Kaitlyn Sitch (Weatherly, PA/MMI Prep) at 30:47 and Michelle Brenneman (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Schuylkill Haven) at 31:01 to round out the Lady Colonel scorers.

Wilkes is off next week before competing in the DeSales Invitational on October 10^th at 10:30 a.m.
