Wilkes Men's Golfers Open Season at Scranton Tri-Match

MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its 2015-16 campaign competing at the University of Scranton tri-match on Thursday afternoon at the Glenmaura Golf Club.

Wilkes shot a combined 353 for third place in the match, with host Scranton taking top honors at 318 and Marywood second with a team score of 323.

Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) led the Colonel scorers carding an 83 on the par 71 course. John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) followed with an 86 while Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) finished with a 90. Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) (96) and Austin Hackenberg (Middleburg, PA/Midd-West) (100) rounded out the Wilkes scorers.

Ryan Brown of Scranton top all golfers with a one over 72 on the day. Dalton Deardorff led the Pacers with a 78.
