WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will continue their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) schedules when they travel to Center Valley, Pa. to take on the Bulldogs of DeSales University on Wednesday evening.

The Lady Colonels enter Wednesday's matchup with a 3-12 overall record and 0-4 record in MAC Freedom play following their 63-58 victory over Penn State-Hazleton on Monday evening. Wilkes is led by senior guard Cara Basile (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), who is averaging 10.3 points and 5.9 rebounds-per-game this season. Sophomore forward Catey McFadden (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) is averaging 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds-per-game. The Lady Colonels rank third in the MAC Freedom averaging 11.07 steals-per-game.

DeSales enters the matchup with an 11-4 overall record, 4-0 in MAC Freedom play following its 74-51 victory at FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are led by junior center Morgan McCollian, who is averaging 17.8 points, 9.9 rebounds-per-game, and is shooting 51 percent (95-of-185) from the floor this season. DeSales is also led by freshman guard Morgan Birmelin, who is averaging 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.1 steals-per-game. The Bulldogs rank second in the MAC Freedom in scoring margin, outscoring their opponents by an average of 10.5 points.

The Colonels enter Wednesday's matchup with a 6-9 overall record, 1-3 in MAC Freedom play after dropping Delaware Valley University from the unbeaten ranks in conference play following their 60-57 win on Saturday afternoon. Wilkes is led by senior guard Alec Wizar (Lebanon, PA/Annville Cleona), who is averaging 14.6 points and 2.2 assists-per-game. The Colonels are also led by senior guard/forward Steve Stravinski (Pittston, PA/Pittston) (13.5 points, 8.1 rebounds-per game) and freshman guard Marcus Robinson (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) (12.9 points, 2.5 assists-per-game). Wilkes leads the MAC Freedom in three-point field goals, converting 162 attempts this season.

DeSales enters the matchup with an 11-4 overall record, 3-1 in MAC Freedom play following its 84-61 victory over FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon.  The Bulldogs are led by senior forward Cody Deal, who is averaging 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds-per-contest. DeSales is also led by junior guard Brian Laird (12.1 points-per-game) and junior guard Kuity Slanger (11.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists-per-game). DeSales ranks first in the MAC Freedom in scoring, averaging 79.5 points-per-game.
