GETTYSBURG, PA – Host Gettysburg College jumped out to a 34-12 lead at the half and never looked back posting a 69-32 victory over Wilkes University in the opening game of the Gettysburg College Tournament Sunday afternoon.
 
Wilkes slips to 1-8 overall following the loss while Gettysburg improved to 5-2 on the year after posting the victory.
 
Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove) led all Wilkes scorers in the contest finishing with 12 points on 6-for-11 shooting while grabbing five rebounds.
 
Three Bullets scored in double figures for Gettysburg led by Shannon Tobin's 15 points, including five three-pointers.
 
Wilkes will play Mt. Aloysius at 2:00 p.m. in the consolation game of the tournament tomorrow (Monday).
