Late Goal Lifts King's Past Wilkes Men's Soccer 1-0
WILKES-BARRE – King's College scored with 13 seconds remaining in the game as the Wilkes University men's soccer team was defeated at King's by a 1-0 final on Tuesday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action.
The Colonels fell to 1-2 in the MAC Freedom and 3-10 overall.
King's controlled the ball for most of the game, but Wilkes' defense was able to keep the ball out of the net all game until the 90
th minute when Chris Galeano one-timed a shot into the lower left corner.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) kept the Colonels in the game all night, facing 15 shots and making four saves.
Wilkes returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Misericordia beginning at 5 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.
