Wilkes Women's Volleyball Scores Key Conference Win over Delaware Valley 3-0
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's volleyball team scored a key Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) victory to keep it in the playoff hunt on Tuesday evening, defeating Delaware Valley University 3-0.
The Lady Colonels are now 2-4 in MAC Freedom play and 10-16 overall.
Wilkes never trailed by more than three points in any set en route to the easy victory.
Freshman
Jamey Mikovich (Nesquehoning, PA/Panther Valley) led the way on offense with a match-high 11 kills while junior
Grace Boyle (Andreas, PA/Marian Catholic) finished with seven and senior
Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) added six. Junior
Alexis Morgan (Walnutport, PA/Northampton) led the pass game with a match-high 27
assists.
Freshman
Juliet Betke (Poplar Grove, IL/Belvidere North) controlled the back line with a match-high nine digs. Boyle and Paskas added eight and six digs, respectively.
Junior
Madison Scarfaro (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) finished with three aces and Mikovich led the match with three blocks.
The Lady Colonels return to action on Friday when they host the Colonel Clash starting at 4 p.m. at the Marts Center.
