No. 4 Wilkes Field Hockey Faces No. 1 FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom Semifinals Wednesday
WILKES-BARRE – For the fourth straight season, the Wilkes University field hockey team will make an appearance in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Wednesday night traveling to face top-seeded FDU-Florham at 7:00 p.m.
Ticket prices set by the Middle Atlantic Conference Office are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $2 for students and children. Pre-school children under age-six will be admitted free.

It marks the second straight year Wilkes takes to the road to Madison, NJ to face FDU-Florham. In 2014, Wilkes fell 1-0 before dropping a 4-1 decision to the Devils last season.
FDU-Florham's lone conference defeat came at the hands of Wilkes this year when the Lady Colonels posted a 2-0 shutout win over the Devils at Schmidt Stadium on September 30.

Gianna Gennetts (West Pittston, PA/Wyoming Area) follows with 18 points on eight goals and two helpers.

Dallas Kendra (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) anchors the cage for Wilkes making 90 saves starting in every game this season. Kendra owns a 1.63 goals against average and .744 save percentage with six shutouts.
FDU-Florham enters the home semifinal matchup with a 13-6 overall record winners of eight of its last nine games to end the regular season. The Devils lost just twice at home this season, both non-conference defeats.
FDU-Florham is led by the MAC Freedom Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in Kim Davis and Erin O'Connell. Davis led the MAC Freedom with 40 points on 17 goals and six assists, while O'Connell anchored the Devils backline with three goals and six helpers.
FDU-Florham goalie Samantha Rubin owns a 1.22 goals against average with 69 saves and six shutouts on the year.
Should the Lady Colonels emerge victorious, Wilkes will meet the winner of the other semifinal pairing between second seeded King's College and third seeded Manhattanville College on Saturday at the site of the highest remaining seed.
