Jones Qualifies for NCAA Championship as Wilkes Women's Cross Country Competes at Mideast Regionals
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –
Morgan Jones (Huntley, MT/Huntley Project) finished 10
th out of 371 runners, earning a spot at the NCAA Division III Championship and earning All-Region honors, both firsts for the Lady Colonels, as Wilkes University women's cross country finished 34
th out of 51 teams at the NCAA Mideast Regional hosted by DeSales University on Saturday morning.

Jones earned the highest finish at the event in Wilkes history, finishing the 6k race in 22:00, breaking her own record of 22:05 for the fastest time in program history and now owns the top five times through her first two years.

The 2016 NCAA Division III cross country championship will take place next Saturday at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky and will be hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission and Spalding University.
