Basketball Teams to Travel to Eastern on Wednesday
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will continue their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) schedules when they travel to St. David's, Pa. to take on Eastern University on Wednesday evening.

Cara Basile (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), who is averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds-per-game. The Lady Colonels are also led by
Catey McFadden (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood), who is averaging 7.9 points and 4.2 rebounds. Wilkes ranks third in the MAC Freedom in steals, averaging 11.32 per-game.
Eastern enters the matchup with 9-10 overall record, 3-5 in MAC Freedom play following its 77-64 loss at Delaware Valley on Saturday. The Eagles are led by Emily Lavin, who is averaging 15.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.19 blocks-per-game this season. Eastern is also led by Regie Robinson (14.9 points, 8.8 rebounds) and Taylor Price (14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists). The Eagles rank first in the MAC Freedom in shooting percentage, shooting 41 percent (468 of 1139) on the season.

The Colonels enter Wednesday's matchup 9-10 overall and 4-4 in MAC Freedom play as winners of three straight and four of their last five games following 78-66 come from behind win against Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon. Wilkes is led by
Alec Wizar (Lebanon, PA/Annville Cleona), who is averaging 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists-per-game this season. The Colonels are also led by
Steve Stravinski (Pittston, PA/Pittston), who is averaging 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds-per-game, and
Marcus Robinson (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional), who is averaging 13.2 points and 2.7 assists this year. Wilkes leads the MAC Freedom in three-pointers made, converting 203 attempts this season.
Eastern enters the matchup with 9-10 overall record and 3-5 in MAC Freedom play following a last-second 72-70 loss at Delaware Valley in which the Eagles held a 17-point lead at halftime.
