Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes Third at King's/Marywood Tri-Match
WILKES-BAREE, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished third in a local tri-match hosted by King's College Friday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
Marywood, the third participant, finished in the top spot with a combined score of 307. King's finished second at 312, while the Colonels settled for third place at 346.
Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) led all Wilkes scorers shooting a 79.
Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) followed carding an 86 while
John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) finished with an 89.
Eric Geiger (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Schuylkill Haven) (89) and
Austin Hackenberg (Middleburg, PA/Midd-West) (108) rounded out the Wilkes participants in the match.
Dalton Deardorff claimed medalist honors shooting a round low of 72. Ryan Georgetti topped King's shooting a 75.
Wilkes returns to the course Tuesday competing in another tri-match against Scranton and Marywood at the Glenmaura Golf Club.
