Wilkes Men's Lacrosse Falls at Misericordia 23-6
DALLAS – The Wilkes University men's lacrosse team fell in its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom game at Misericordia University on Wednesday evening by a final score of 23-6.
The Colonels fell to 0-12 overall and 0-4 in MAC Freedom play.
Wilkes got off to a fast start, holding leads of 2-1 , 3-2, and 4-3 before Misericordia scored 20 of the final 22 goals in the game.
The Colonels were led by sophomore
Nicholas Ruggiero (Califon, NJ/Voorhees), who finished with three goals. Freshman
Max Brown (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach) totaled one goal and one assist while freshman
John Wink (Glenside, Pa./Abington) added two assists. Freshman
JT Weitzel (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) nd sophomore
Matt LaSorsa (Copiague, N.Y./Copiague) each contributed one goal.
Wilkes returns to action on Saturday when it will travel to DeSales University for a 1 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup.
