HERSHEY, PA – Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) led all Wilkes scorers shooting a combined 164 on way to a ninth place overall finish as the Wilkes University men's golf team finished in eighth place at the 2016 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships Sunday afternoon at the Hershey Country Club.
 
Anderson began the tournament shooting an 83 before a team-low 81 on round two of the tournament to finish tied for ninth place overall. The top five finishers at the event earn first team All-MAC Freedom honors while players finishing sixth through ten are named second team all-conference.
 
AJ Isidoro followed with a combined score of 171 (84/87) tied for 26th overall while Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) finished at 179 (87/92) for 33rd place. John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) shot a 186 (98/88) and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) rounded out the Colonel finishers carding a 188 (104/84).
 
Manhattanville College captured the team title shooting a combined 651 as a squad. Corey Palma of King's was the top overall finisher with a score of 157, two strokes ahead of Dan McDonald of DeSales who shot a 159.
