SELINSGROVE, PA – Host Susquehanna University scored the lone goal in the game late in the first half to post a 1-0 shutout victory over the Wilkes University men's soccer team Wednesday night in non-conference action.
 
With the loss Wilkes slips to 2-5 overall while Susquehanna improves its overall mark to 2-5-1 on the season.
 
Susquehanna broke open a scoreless game at the 35:08 mark of the first half when Maxfield Reed scored off an assist from Thomas Burke. It proved to be the difference as Wilkes could only muster three shots on goal of its eight shot attempts in the contest.
 
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) finished with two saves in the match, both coming in the first half of play.
 
Wilkes returns to the pitch Saturday with a matchup at Stevenson University at 5:00 p.m.
