STEVENSON, Md. – The Wilkes University men's soccer team battled back from a 2-0 first half hole but lost 3-2 at Stevenson University on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonels fell to 2-6 overall with the loss.

The Mustangs got on the board with goals in the 3rd and 10th minutes for an early 2-0 lead.

Wilkes began to battle back in the 18th minute when senior Michael Hasbrouck (Vestal, NY/Vestal) scored with an assist from sophomore Camry Huff (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro).

The Colonels struck again to tie the game in the 26th minute when Huff added an unassisted goal of his own.

Stevenson scored the game winner in the 37th minute, and neither defense surrendered another goal the rest of the game.

Sophomore Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) made six saves to keep Wilkes in the game.

The Colonels return to the pitch on Wednesday when they host Scranton for a 4 p.m. non-conference game at Schmidt Stadium.
